  • DESCRIPTION: Drawn by Major Dennis; Engraved by T. Sutherland. Title continues with: "Which ended in a complete Victory on the part of the British, having captured 927 Men, killed or wounded about 500, Taken 1400 Stand of Arms, a six Pounder, and Stand of Colours." American forces are shown crossing the Niagara River and attacking the British forces. One of the most famous land battles of the War of 1812, the battle for Queenston Heights was a triumph for the British forces fighting the invading American army. Queenston is now named Niagara-on-the-Lake. A scarce print.
