• DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Square no longer exists today, but was located at 66-69 Street, between Park and Third Avenues. The St. James’ Episcopal Church, pictured in this engraving, underwent construction in 1809. It was torn down in 1870 after the Square's land was either sold off or donated during the 1860s.
