A rare and early Connecticut imprint. <br><br> This is a tragic account of the ship Boston which was taken by the natives of Nootka Sound and all the crew with the exception of two were murdered. John Jewett was one of the two and managed to keep a journal of his captivity. This image, as part of a separate engraved plate appeared on the top of a oblong song sheet, The Poor Armourer Boy, A Song.
