  • DESCRIPTION: Subtitle reads, "Trustee is a sorrel gelding, 15 hands 2 1/2 inches high, 8 years old, and was got by Imported Trustee, out of the well known trotting mare Fanny Pullen, consequently is half brother to Fashion, Revenue &, was raised by his present owner James Bridges, Esq. of New York. Previous Preformances, on the 4th May 1848 over the Union Course, Mile heats, best 3 in 5 in harness, he beat Black Modesty & Passenger, winning the 3 last heats in 2: 45 _ 2: 47 _ 2: 45. 8th of April 2 Mile heats in harness, he beat Black Modesty, Philadelphia Sal & Passenger, winning the 2nd & 4th heats in 5: 32 1/2 _ 5: 35 _ and one week before his 20 Mile match he beat Virginia Maid, in a 3 Mile and repeat race in harness, winning the 2nd & 3rd heats : trotting the 9th Mile in 2: 46 _ "Blood will tell." Oct 17th 1849. Centreville Course, L.I. trotted 3 Miles in harness in _ 7: 45 1/2."
