DESCRIPTION: "Born in Japan, I studied printmaking at Tama Art University in Tokyo, Philadelphia College of Art, Pratt Graphic Center and Printmaking Workshop in NYC. I currently live and work in New Jersey.<BR><BR> My image starts from the shape of nature, like trees, clouds, light, shadows etc. The image recalls memories. Sky that continues to the end, flow of light, smell of trees, feel of the land, from that point my creation starts. I have been fascinated by the flow of clouds since I was a child. My monotypes explore the beauty of overlapping colors caused by stacking multiple plates. Each plate is carefully prepared and overprinted to create an impressive light."<BR><BR> "I reduced the multicolor printing technology of lithographs and etchings to monotypes and performed multicolor printing with several plates. I have been fascinated by the flow of clouds since I was a child. One cold night, I imagined seeing the cloud reflection during the night walk."
