DESCRIPTION: "Prints enhance our awareness of the relationship between image and ground. This generates a pictorial experience with a unique presence.<BR><BR> Etching was my medium of choice for about 20 years. Then, I explored the autographic qualities of lithography. Currently i am re-exploring woodcut which is the medium that first attracted me to printmaking.<BR><BR> My subjects seem to select me. As native New Yorker, much of my work comes from the city where I live. These images are autobiographic as they are based on scenes that I passed where I lived or worked. The city offers geometry; both order and chaos. I have also chosen to do iconic still life’s that have autobiographical origins. My figurative prints are also personal and search for a way of addressing the human spirit. This one originated in the early days of Covid."
