The school is located in Paris, France.<br><br> "This etching was commissioned by Messieurs Philippon and De Salicis, two of Meryon's old frends, and was published by Rochoux... A considerable portion of it is fantastically conceived and is easily distinguished from the remainder which is faithfully exact"' Burty (Burty and Huish, Catalogue of the works of Charles Merion, 1879).<br><br> "At the top of this etching, which reproduces the view faithfully and minutely, I have placed two medallions bearing the effiges of the two rulers, Henry IV and Napoleon III, after whom the Lycee takes its name...". Extract from the journal L'Union de Arts, 1864.<br><br> The Lycee Henri-IV is a public secondary school located in Paris. Along with the Lycee Louis-le-Grand, it is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious and demanding sixth-form colleges (lycees) in France.<br><br> The plate is know to have been cancelled.
