  • DESCRIPTION: The legion top and bottom were cut off by Paul Revere in 1775 so he could use the backside of the copper plate to print currency for Massachusetts.<br><br> This is a restrike from the original plate that was printed in 1970 by the Imprint Society. The Imprint Society produced limited editions of fiction, poetry, exploration and history in yearly series 1970-74 with a few scattered before and after and was headquartered in Barre, Mass. The edition size for the was a 1950 numbered copies.
