  • DESCRIPTION: In the first battle of the Mexican War, Gen. Zachary Taylor (seen here on horseback), led American soldiers to a victory over a Mexican force twice their size. The battlefield is 12 miles northeast of present day Brownsville, Texas.


  • CONDITION: Good condition save for some spotting and damp staining in lower margin. Original hand coloring. Wide margins.
