Publisher : Signed, dated, and titled in pencil. Gourfain printed this woodcut on the front cover (verso) of the Daily News, dated February 26, 2000, the day the 'not guilty' verdict was declared. This graphic depicts the shooting of Amadou Diallo who was shot in early February 1999. Diallo, unarmed, was shot to death on his doorstep by police who mistook him for a fugitive. Inscribed "A.P."
