  • DESCRIPTION: An iconic image of western Americana, depicting the arrival of a Central Pacific Railroad train at an isolated village. Across the Humboldt River is an Indian tepee encampment. Snow-capped mountain peaks loom in the background. The first transcontinental railroad was completed just a year earlier in 1869.


  • CONDITION: Good condition with faded original color save repaired marginal tears just into image.
