DESCRIPTION: A detailed map of eastern France. Notes many cities and towns, in the upper right is Geneva, Switzerland with the city of Lyon, France in the lower left. Forest, mountains, rivers and lakes and delineated as well. Surrounding the scale cartouche is a surveyor with his instruments being aided by three winged putti. This map was issued in Blaeu's "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, Sive Atlas Novis."
