  • ADDITIONAL INFO: Signed and dated in pencil. Inscribed " Notes- The windmill is all thatched and has much vertical texture.It is a mouse gray color.Put figures in street in foreground and a man fishing off wall. Also perhaps a wagon going over bridge. This plate needs clouds. The long supports to balcony around lower part of mill should be wider, so as to count after big shadow has been put in. " This drawing came directly from the Estate of John Taylor Arms. Being transfer drawings means these drawings were used to create the copper plate that printed the etching. As any object that is used in this fashion, they often have a variety of condition issues. They are, however, unique works created by the artist.
