DESCRIPTION: A small and well engraved map of the Spanish town of Roses. Roses is located in the Spanish region of Catalonia on the Costa Brava. Gabriel Bodenehr the Elder (c.1664-1758) was a Swiss artist who worked in Augsburg. He created many topographical views and plans of European and North African cities. Many were gathered under the overall title Le Gloire et la Force de l'Europe.
