Edith F. Johnston

Edith Farrington Johnston worked in tandem with botanists such as Dr. Clarence Hylander to create illustrations, watercolors, and prints to accompany a series of publications. Some of the titles include "A Book of Wild Flowers", "A Book of Garden Fruits", and The Macmillan "Wild Flower Book." In addition to composing watercolor pieces, Johnston also made lithography plates for numerous botanical texts. She was praised for the detail-oriented nature of her work, and for the artist prowess she exhibited.
