Terms, Conditions & Returns

At The Old Print Shop, we want our clients to be happy with their purchases because a happy customer will return to purchase again. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please return the item for a full refund. We only ask that you let us know within two weeks, and PLEASE call or email us to let us know that you are returning the item, so we can be on the lookout for the package. The Old Print Shop has been in business for over 120 years and we continue to survive because of our many satisfied customers

GUARANTEE -

The Old Print Shop guarantees that the items are as described. If there is a mistake, (we are human and occasionally make a few), return the item for a full refund. With little exception the items listed on the site and in the gallery are original works of art (prints, drawings, maps, etc.) published on or near the date given in the item description.

GALLERY SPECIALITY

1. Original woodcuts, etchings, and lithographs published between 1700 to 1950.
2. American contemporary art 1970 to present. The shop currently represents over 70 contemporary artists who have chosen printmaking as their expressive medium.
3. Antique maps and atlases created prior to 1880, pocket and wall maps.
4. Watercolors and drawings from 1700 to 1950.
5. Artist’s books (liveres d’artist). Color plate books before 1850, reference books relating to American art and history
6. In the gallery we offer professional "Museum Quality Framing."

1) DEFINITIONS OF AUTHORSHIP.
"By" or "Maker/Artist"; - in our opinion, the work is by the artist or maker stated
"Attributed to" - in our opinion, the work is probably, but not definitely, by the artist or maker stated
"Signed" or "Marked" - in our opinion, the signature or mark is that of the stated artist or maker
"Bearing the signature (or mark) of" - in our opinion, the signature or mark is probably, but not definitely, that of the artist or maker stated
"After" - in our opinion, the work is a copy of a work by the stated artist or maker

2) SHIPPING – We generally UPS and the quoted shipping is for UPS ground service for an unframed item. If the item is excessively large and/or framed, there could be dditional shipping charged. You will be notified if this is the case and can cancel the sale.

3) TOTAL AND PAYMENT- Your invoice will have a total, the addition of every item, plus the cost of shipping. Sales shipped within New York State will be charged 8.875% sales tax.

4) SALES TAX- Buyers are required to pay any applicable state and local sales tax, The Old Print Shop, Inc. is only required to collect sales tax for New York State.

5) PAYMENT OPTIONS. On-line credit card payments are handled through Stripe, a secure third party credit card processing system.

Items paid by check or by wire will ship after payment has arrived.
