Naoko Matsubara

Matsubara Naoko is a Japanese painter, woodcut artist and teacher, born in Tokushima, Japan. She studied at the Kyoto University and received her BFA at Carnegie Mellon University. She taught art at Pratt Institute and worked as an assistant to Fritz Eichenberg for a time. She presently lives in Canada, where she is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.
