Stefan Hirsch

Painter, printmaker was born to American parents in Nuremberg, Germany on January 2, 1899.  He moved with his family back to the United States settling in New York City.  He worked in the circle of Hamilton Easter Field the art teacher and patron studying with Yasuo Kuniyoshi and Robert Laurent.  He traveled extensively throughout his life meeting many artists including Diego Rivera in Mexico.
