Matthew Clark

Noted in Tooley as a Boston trader and auctioneer. At the age of 76, he published the first set of charts of the American coastline to be engraved and printed in America. The charts covered an area from Cuba to Labrador. These charts were issued both separately and as an atlas or "Pilot." The charts from this Pilot are considered to be quite rare
