A colour woodcut artist, awarede gold medal at the International Printmakers Society, Los Angeles 1926, The White Cat (1922), The Venetial Shawl (1924), Lanterns and Azaleas (1925), and Stormy seas (1929) indicate the range of his subjects. An admirable and inventive printmaker, he makes very effective use of the grain of the wood in The Bridge (1923) and Morning on the Mountains, Pyrenees. Taken from British Printmakers 1855-1955.
