Frederick S. Church

Frederick Stuart Church was an American artist, primarily an illustrator, known for his (often allegorical) depiction of animals. By the mid 1870's Harper's Weekly, Frank Leslie's Weekly, Century Magazine and The Ladies' Home Journal were using his work.
