William Grainger (active c. 1784–1809) was a British engraver based in London, known for his detailed copperplate prints of historical events, military scenes, and notable figures. Working from May’s Buildings on St. Martin’s Lane, he contributed to publications like Lyttleton’s History of England and engraved subjects such as William Penn and scenes from the Siege of Quebec. Grainger's precise and historically focused style made his work popular among collectors of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His engravings are preserved today in institutions like the British Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.
