Barthelemy Lafon (1769-1820) was a noted architect, engineer and surveyor who lived and worked in New Orleans. After the Battle of New Orleans, he turned away from architecture and engaged in piracy and smuggling working with the notorious pirates, Pierre and Jean Lafette. It is widely believed that his is the father of Thomy Lafon.
