Carel Nicolaas Storm van s' Gravesande was one of the leading Dutch artists of his day and is associated with the Hague School. He won the gold medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. Storm van 's Gravesande produced over 400 etchings and lithographs during his lifetime, most of which are focused on landscapes, seascapes and cityscape.
