Lloyd Coe

Lloyd Coe. Massachusetts born painter, illustrator and cartoonist, known for beach scenes, landscapes and illustrations. Studied at the National Academy of Design and illustrated over 35 books. He also illustrated for magazines such as The New Yorker. During the 1950s he served for four years as president of the Rockport Art Association. His original cartoons, sketches and drawings are housed in the archives of Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts.
