Claude G Putnam

Born in Michigan on Sept. 13,1884. Putnam was active in Los Angeles from 1913. He worked as a commercial artist, cartographer, and was an avid yachtsman. Putnam was the author-illustrator of several books including Log Book, Harbors & Islands, Califorrnia Coast.He was senior staff commodore of the Newport Harbor Yacht Club at the time of his death in Newport Beach, CA on July 16, 1955.
