Marie Sturken

Marie Sturken was an American artist and teacher. She studied art at a variety of places, including the Grand Central School of Art, Pratt Institute and the Art Students League of New York. Her art career started like so many others, as an oil painter, but Sturken soon found herself attracted to printmaking, inevitably leading her to Queenston Press at Princeton University. She favored monotypes and handmade paper mediums.
