Leon Underwood

Leon Underwood, a British sculptor and illustrator, was born on December 25, 1890 and studied at the Royal College of Art and Slade School of Fine Art. He is noted as "The precursor of modern sculpture in Britain." He is also a well-known illustrator working in wood engraving.
