Joaquin Vaquero Turcios

Painter and printmaker born in Madrid, Spain. He studied in Rome, where he was influenced by the classical style. He later found favor with abstraction. He received the gold medal at the Salzburg Biennial in 1957 and the Medal of the Italian Senate in 1959.
