Peter Helck was an American artist best known for his automotive illustrations. He studied art at the Art Students League in New York and with muralist Frank Brangwyn in London, England. He worked with the magazine "Esquire" for a time, producing paintings and illustrations of the the early automotive racing days.
Helck became a member of the National Academy of Design in 1947. His work can be found in such institution as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania; and the Library of Congress, Washington, DC.
