1920-2011
Was born in Seattle, Washington and as an artist is largely self-taught. In 1938 he had a single artist exhibition of his drawings in the Seattle Art Museum. He made lithographs in the museums basement on their equipment. He moved to New York in 1943 and contributed to The New Masses and started doing drawings of the people on the street and taught at Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art. His work is in the Library of Congress, the Columbus Museum of Art, and Syracuse University Museum.
