Clement Haupers

Born in St. Paul Minnesota.  He would often visit the Art Institute of Chicago and eventually enrolled in the Minneapolis School of Art.  Me met fellow artist Clara Mairs and the two had a lifelong relationship.  He was director of the Minnesota WPA and taught art for many years one of his students was LeRoy Neiman.  His work is in many collections around the United States.
