The Old Print Gallery’s fall show, Abstraction, will open on Friday, September 16th with an opening night reception from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. With over twenty modern and contemporary artists featured in the show, Abstraction offers viewers a diverse display of the rich possibilities of abstraction as a style of artistic expression.  The exhibit will remain on view through November 12th.

Deviating from the representational, the featured artists mediate the relationship between form, line, and color in stunning and experimental ways. Using the unexpected bite of an aquatint, the fluid lines of a monotype, or working within the crisp geometric cuts of a woodcut, these artists embrace the potential of each printmaking medium to explore complex themes and emotions.
