NEW YORK Impressions. Gallery Exhibition, July 1 - August 23, 2024.
Take a visual journey to an earlier time in New York City. Starting in 1913 with a John Marin etching of the Woolworth Building, traveling through Washington Square Park with John Sloan, catching a glimpse of the city skyline with Joseph Pennell, then into a 1932 bustling street scene by Reginald Marsh, see the growth of the skyscraper, learn about modernism with Jan Matulka, and gaze into a timeless impression of the Flatiron Building on a rainy day. The techniques in this exhibition include etching, drypoint, aquatint, lithography, woodcut, collagraph, mixed media, and painting.
The Old Print Shop is at 49 West 24th Street, 2nd floor. Our hours of operation are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. The Gallery will be closed the last week in August and Labor Day (September 1).
