  • DESCRIPTION: The box with bas-relief and “Ape & Cat” are limited to 75 copies for sale, numbered 1 to 75. “The Madonna of the Future” is limited to 200 copies for sale, of which 75 copies are included in the box with “Ape & Cat.” The balance of the edition, 125 copies is offered for sale separately. An additional 26 copies of the box set were produced for collaborators and are lettered A-Z. This set is numbered 48. Bas-relief sculpture on cover of box designed by Jim Dine, signed in pencil by the artist. The relief mold was made at the Walla Walla Foundry, Washington, and the casting was done at the foundry of M & H Type, San Francisco.
