• DESCRIPTION: A fine large scale wall map of Connecticut.<br><br> This map shows the state colored by townships with county borders highlighted in red; New York - the whole of Long Island, Staten Island, Manhattan, Westchester County and all the Counties between the Hudson and Connecticut, colored by Counties; New Jersey - the northern counties including Bergen, to Morris County on the west and Monmouth County on the south, colored by counties. A detailed network of railroads - existing and proposed - as well as roads is shown. Large statistical table on the right in the area of Rhode Island with list of Governors and statistical information on population of towns. Below the title is a portrait of John Winthrop. Three inch wide scroll-type decorative border surrounds the map, with 16 vignettes including a portrait of Roger Sherman. In the lower right corner is a vignette illustration showing cherubs inspecting the globe.
