DESCRIPTION: Below the title is noted the following. "Raynham was taken from the N. Easterly part of Taunton and incorporated April 5th 1731. It contained at that time about thirty families. It is distant from Boston 33 miles in a southerly direction. The first Forge in America was built here in 1652 by James & Henry Leonard and is now in constant operation... ." It also niotes that the population of the township was 1541 in 1850. Drawn on a scale on 80 rods to the inch. Printed by A. Kollner, Lith.
