  • DESCRIPTION: This fine map of Czechoslovakia appeared in Speed's "The Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World". It is a "carte a figure" map, adorned with side panels depicting costumed figures and further enhanced with a row of city views along the top. Prague is at the center. The Danube River flows from west to east aloong the bottom of the map. An inset at right explaiins the symbols used. With English text on verso.
