Edmonds mould-made paper. Titles and initial letters were handset by Dante Titling, text in Monotype Bembo by Mackenzie-Harris Corp. The Jasper John etching was printed by Universal Limited Art Editions. The edition limited to 326 copies, of which 300 are for sale and letters A-Z are reserved for collabators. Quarto (4to) (12 x 8 1/2"). Binding in blue goatskin spine and foreedge, with blue grey linen boards, lettering on spine in silver. Announcement for the publication of the book and an invoice to the previous owner laid-in. <br><br> Wallace Stevens (1879-1955) was a modernist, an inventor of twentieth-century literature. Helen Vendler says "He created a new style for a new age. . ." His poetry of facets, reflections from the revolving crystal of the world, of multiple realities and truths, was a courageous experiment with language.
