• DESCRIPTION: Three overlaid maps on one sheet. This interesting map shows northern coast of Europe and Asia likely focusing on the idea of a North East Passage. Japan and Korea show shown on the main map. It also shows part of what is present-day Alaska. The two insets maps each show a different depiction of Kamchatka. This map appeared in the supplement to the Diderot and d'Alembert "Encyclopedie," 1770-79.
