An early Cram atlas map of the state. Shows and names all the railroad lines of the period, rivers and hundreds of towns. Red outline color denotes counties. George F. Cram (1842–1928) began working with his uncle, Rufus Blanchard, in 1867 under the name Blanchard & Cram. In 1869 Cram took control and moved to Chicago, opening the Western Map Depot at 148 Lake Street. The Great Fire destroyed the business. He re-established himself at 66 Lake Street and later at 262 and 264 Wabash. Maps
