  • EDITION SIZE: Segmented case map. Overall 31 1/4 x 40 1/8".

  • DESCRIPTION: A large scale case map showing Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and the eastern areas of New Brunswick. Hatchuring indicates areas of higher elevation, and symbols and a colored key are used to depict railroads, roads, telegraph stations, gold and coal mining areas, post offices and ports of entry. Throughout the map are notes indicating locations of forests, mineral and ore deposits. Engraved by G. Philip & Son, Liverpool. An attractive and well delineated map.

  • ADDITIONAL INFO: Removed from but retains original blue cloth covers with gold embossed title "Mackinlay's map and History of Nova Scotia. New edition, 1865". On inside front cover is a 110-page "Geography and History of Nova Scotia" by J. B. Calkin.
