DESCRIPTION: Dresse par Guillaume de L'Isle premier geographe du Roy. Grave par Liebaux le fils. This is a two page map showing the eastern section of Russia. The top sheet depicts the area from the White Sea, in the north, to the region of Vologda in the south, and from Lake Ladoga to in the east to Viatka (modern day Kirov Oblast) in the west. The bottom is a continuation down to the very tip of the Sea of Azov. The Don and Volga rivers can be seen on the right.
