• DESCRIPTION: A scarce, separately issued chart of the Gulf of Mexico, Florida and the West Indies. The map is extremely detailed, noting coastal features, shoals soundings, the Gulf Stream, etc. It includes all of Central America and the northern tip of South America. The map is colored to show the various colonial ownership, Red for England; Yellow for Spain and green/blue France. The title cartouche is of a nautical motif and items relating to the trade in the region.
