• DESCRIPTION: Twenty three original drawings on sixteen boards used to illustrate the book "Strange Visitor" by Edith F. Johnston. Johnson wrote and illustrated a story about a Praying Mantis in the garden. Her original title for the book "The Orge of the Garden" is hand lettered on one of the book cover designs.<BR><BR> The drawings were produced during the summer of 1937. The book was published in 1947 by The Macmillan Company, New York.
