  • DESCRIPTION: From "A History of the Campaigns of 1780 and 1781, in the Southern Provinces of North America" by Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton. Tarleton's Legion participated in this significant Revolutionary War victory by British forces under Lord Cornwallis over American troops led by Maj. Gen. Horatio Gates. The opposing forces are color-coded on the map and a list of references identifies various corps.<br><br> "Bloody Ban" Tarleton was known for his daring and vicious attacks in the Southern Campaigns.
