DESCRIPTION: A fine early map of the East Coast of North America, from the River May in northern Florida to Labrador. Cartographically the map is derived from Jodocus Hondius’ world map of 1611 and lacks information from the Champlain and Smith voyages. This resulted in unusual shaped coastal regions of New England, Virginia and Nova Scotia. One of the earliest obtainable maps of the coastline of eastern North America.
