  • DESCRIPTION: Unknown number were printed on the cover of Weyhe Gallery Exhibition Catalog "Prints and Drawings by Howard Cook, February 4th to 23rd, 1929." <BR><BR> The invitation catalog lists 38 prints and 15 drawings. It was sent to select clients as an announcement and invitation to the exhibition.<BR><BR> Howard Cook's title for this print was "New York Towers". No record has been found of him referring to it as "Skyscraper". The woodcut "Skyscraper" was done several weeks before "New York Towers".<BR><BR> Uncancelled wood block in the collection of The Philadelphia Museum of Art.<BR><BR> Some impressions dated 1929.
