Large parts of the island are shown just before being land filled, Castle Garden is still in the harbor. Many wharfs and ferry's are identified. Harbor defenses are identified, Fort Columbus and Castle William on Governors Island. Fort Gibson on Ellis Island and Fort Wood on Bedlows Island. (Later Liberty Island). Greenwood cemetery is laid out in its elaborate design.<br><br> Original outline color by ward. Retains but removed from original hard covers. Covers include 28 page street directory.
