Signed "Graphic & Harpers" lower right. <br.> Grimsby Dock Tower is a hydraulic accumulator tower and a maritime landmark at the entrance to the Royal Dock, Grimsby, in North East Lincolnshire, England. <br> A founding member of the Salmagundi Club in New York, Milton Burns was a highly acclaimed marine painter, one of the few who had actually been a sailor. His most prolific period was between 1871 and 1899, and he was also an illustrator for Harper's Weekly, Scribner's and Literary Digest. He is credited with the first illustrated article about Monhegan Island, and did numerous pen and ink drawings of that place, which appeared in Harper's magazine.
